As we begin our new year at Grace, we can’t help but reflect about the year we had! Our youth spent the last year working hard creating memories and deepening their faith through worship, mission trips and in the community!
The youth traveled to New Orleans, LA in July to attend the ELCA Youth Gathering! We had 10 participants as well as 3 adult leaders make the 1000 mile trek south into the Big Easy. They were introduced to southern hospitality at its finest, taking in the unique culture that is only offered in NOLA. Along with 20,000 other Lutherans, they worshiped in the Smoothie King Center nightly and throughout the week served by helping a local organization clean up part of a community to allow new business to come in and help promote the economy. They also were able to take part in a scavenger hunt around the French Quarter and experience everything that the historical part of town has to offer.
This year, we are excited to announce that we will be going back on a Youthworks mission trip in the summer of 2025. Dates and location will be announced soon. If you would like to participate in this year's trip, please contact me at 330-418-0393 for more information.
Other key activities will include a Fall party in October, Bowling in December and we’re excited to go back to Atwood for our traditional retreat in February.
The 2024-2025 year will undoubtedly continue to build on what the youth have been striving to accomplish in the last few years. Grow in their faith, establish relationships that foster encouragement, praise and positivity and have fun doing it!
Blessed be to God,
